The American's Creed by William T. Page; Clerk of the House; 1917:

"I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a Republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots gave their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.

Florida Governor Joins Two More in Rejecting Federal High-Speed Rail Spending - FoxNews.com

You want to know what the worst part of this HS Train business is? ---Information needed to make a proper determination may have been withheld or distorted in a way that is intended to mislead or which has that effect through negligence.---- Did anyone hear about arguments for a monorail v. the noise and vibration levels + amount of Cleared land required for the HS Train?

Monorail could use existing highway system, keep access to businesses, and generally be considerably more effective at delivery individuals closer to their workplaces or places of pursuit of happiness! Probably would cost considerably less and doesn't have to use 'eminent domain' to make its existence! In fact, it could be done WITHOUT ANY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ---AT ALL!! how about that for earth-shaking news!!!!

Of course, it kindof side-rails the graft and movement of PAC cash, gifts, unions, some Congress-members and cabinet members --- etc. That could be bad....huh?!!

Before you get over-excited about the government''s decision, sans anyone but them....and only one party at that....Look at the cleared land around the HS train in japan. Remember the movies from Japan where the train runs in the background...[the one about Ballroom Dancing]!
